ABOUT THE CELL

This cell is formed to develop spirit/awareness on entrepreneurship among the students, to develop the advanced skill of creativity and innovative thinking, to empower and inspire students to take initiatives and accept responsibilities to thrive in the challenging world and to become employment creators than seekers. EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) was established on 6th September 2021 with registered in Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII – TN), Tamilandu and also registered in EDII- Bharathiar University Hub – Spoke College. The cell undertakes several activities for student development wherein the student gets corporate exposure while studying and develops a spirit of entrepreneurship. This enables student capability enhancement as well as their alignment with Industry. This way the EDC at one stroke creates a win-win model for students as well as Industry.

VISION & MISSION

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of CMS College of Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Coimbatore seeks to renovate how entrepreneurship is perceived in society. We confidently believe that entrepreneurship is the key to encouragement and innovation in National and International level promoting the values surrounding entrepreneurship will result in attainment of the full capacity of the student’s aptitude. We hope to create a future where the student entrepreneurs as statues of inspiration and entrepreneurship as a viable career option.

OBJECTIVES OF EDC

The objective of this cell is to develop spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students. Activities of this cell includes Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes, Mentoring Students, Marketing Mela and Assisting in getting financial support for Startups.
To create awareness on entrepreneurship among the students. To regularly conduct the programs in Entrepreneurship enabling skills.
To conduct skill industrial development training programs with updated technologies.
To provide need-based consultancy services to industries.
To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information to budding student entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Tamilandu under Bharathiar University Hub, Coimbatore sponsored five days “Promotional Activities on Entrepreneurship” Programme conducted by ED-Cell, held from 14.03.2022 to 18.03.2022.
