Eco club
PREAMBLE:
Eco Club plays an important role in creating environmental consciousness among the younger generation. It was established by the School of Biological Sciences for undertaking various Eco-friendly activities and from the year 2021-22, it is functioning as college level ECO CLUB.

OBJECTIVES:
- To encourage students to keep their environment clean and green.
- To promote awareness on conservation of water by minimal usage and indulging in harvest of rainwater.
- To inculcate in students the habit of minimum waste generation and its proper disposal.
- To organize tree plantation and awareness programmes on various environmental issues and educate children about reuse/recycle of waste material.
MOTTO OF CMS - ECOCLUB:
- Sensitize the students to prevent the use of products that cause environmental pollution. Awareness to students about impacts of plastic bags usage which cause serious threat to environment.
- To train the students for recycling of waste leaves into organic fertilizers by vermi-composting and compost usage as ecosafe biofertilizer to plants within campus.
- To create awareness on harmful effects of air, water, soil and noise pollution. Sensitize students to stop the indiscriminate burning of waste which causes respiratory diseases.
- Exposure to students regarding various field activities such as visit to natural ecosystems and biodiversity parks.
- To arrange awareness programmes such as lectures, essays, painting competitions and rally aiming on various environmental issues to students and public.
- To Sign MoU with non government organization participating in environmental conservation
CMS-ECOCLUB FUTURE ASPECTS:
- Awareness to students and farmers about use of biofertilizers, organic farming. Workshop will be conducted to farmers about production of biofertilizers / vermi composting.
- Encourage the students and public for conservation of water resource- Rain water harvesting and recycling of waste water etc.
