Department of the Management
The Department of Management is a premier wing of CMS College of Science & Commerce, since 1988 with a clearly defined approach for creating quality managers and entrepreneurs required to face the challenges of the corporate sector. The Department offers undergraduate courses in BBA (Business Administration) and BBA (CA) Business Administration with Computer Applications that are challenging and specifically designed to develop & enhance career opportunities and to contribute in the dissemination of academic & applied knowledge in business management.
The Department has a reputation for innovative programme design, up-to-date curriculum, quality courseware, personalized instruction and strong industry interface. In a short span of time, business administration course has grown impressively and achieved widespread recognition from industry & academic circle. The programme is designed to provide knowledge and skills, both functional & integrative, in the field of business with emphasis on leadership, entrepreneurship & ethics. The Department also focuses on developing an entrepreneurial society with professional orientation and global outlook deep-rooted with social sensitivity.

Courses

Value Added Programme (VAP) in Airline and Airport Management.
Eligibility: A pass in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government or any other examination accepted as equivalent there of by the syndicate.

BBA CA. Bachelor of Business Administration with Computer Application
Eligibility: A pass in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government or any other examination accepted as equivalent there of by the syndicate.

BBA Bachelor of Business Administration

M.Phil.Management Studies
Eligibility: Eligibility is prescribed by the Bharathiar University and candidates are advised to refer to the university website. Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the University.

Ph.D. Management Studies

50 computers with latest software is given to the students to enhance their knowledge in computer related subjects.
Career Opportunities & Scope
Students graduating in BBA and BB CA are eligible to get jobs in Defence Forces, Central and State Government services, national and multi-national companies. They are also eligible to join for higher education like MBA, MIB, MSW etc.

She has more than 16 years of experience in academics. Specialized in Finance and has made teaching as her passion and taken keen interest in bringing a positive change in the attitude of the students. To add credit to her profession, she is guiding 5 Ph.D scholars. As part of enhancing research knowledge, she has participated in many National and International Conferences and Seminars. She has presented more than 28 papers. She is a member of Board of Studies (BoS) in various autonomous colleges in Coimbatore. She is also invited as external examiner and question paper setter in leading institutions affiliated to Bharathiar University

Activities
The course is industry-interactive and students are taken to industries to have an experiential learning.
The first year students are moulded for the Business Administration stream with an orientation programme and bridge courses.
Students are given an opportunity to sharpen their skills in team management, leadership qualities and time management through out-bound programme.
Students are motivated to participate and present papers in State, National and International Level Seminars.
Students are encouraged to participate in various inter collegiate meets to develop holistic personality
Management Games, Personality Development Programmes, Colloquium, Consortium etc. are also organized to make their curriculum more interesting and interactive.
Industrial Visits : To understand the theoretical knowledge of production process, students are taken to different manufacturing industries.
Community Service
Students are taken to old age homes and orphanages to make them understand the value and importance of relationship. Students would be spending time with the inmates and provide essentials to them
Start Up
Students are required to come up with their own idea of a Start Up and present the same. This initiative helps the students to think both, out of the box and within the box
Trade Fair
The students are given training on Selling Concepts by conducting Trade Fair. Students can sell any product of their choice to the staff and students in the college
Cold Call
Students Marketing skills are ignited by Cold Call, where students will be taken out of college campus and market the goods to general public
