CMS Educational and Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization promoted by eminent industrialists, leading businessmen and distinguished professionals. The Trust has a long and proud record of progressive activities in the field of education, art, culture, sports and social service. It has grown into a renowned institution under the leadership of illustrious and committed people.
The Trust runs three more institutions for higher education apart from CMS College of Engineering & Technology.
CMS Institute of Management Studies (CMS IMS) is a leading business school run by the CMS Trust. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It is co-located with the CMS College of Science and Commerce and has modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities. It also offers an accelerated one year full time MBA programme through James Cook University (JCU), Australia.
CMS Academy of Management and Technology (CMS AMT) is yet another business school started by the Trust from the academic year 2009-10. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University and is approved by AICTE. This school is also co-located with CMS College of Science & Commerce and has all basic amenities for business education as is the case of all the institutions sponsored by the CMS Trust.
CMS College of Science and Commerce(CMS CSC) is one of the premier institutions of higher learning in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1988 by the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, which is a non-profit organization. The college is situated in a 26 acre complex with excellent infrastructure. Although it is just 8 kms. from the centre of the city, the campus can be justifiably proud of a peaceful, congenial atmosphere, ideal for academic pursuits. CMS CSC offers 17 Undergraduate courses and 14 Postgraduate courses besides 7 M.Phil and 3 Ph.D research programmes.

Institution for Technical Education established in the academic year 2009-10, by few eminent persons, who are members of Coimbatore Malayali Samajam, under the banner of CMS Educational and Charitable Trust. The Trust has started this institution with a commitment to train the next generation of Engineers and Technocrats. The motto of the college “Challenge Meets Success” emphasizes its great mission of Education
The sprawling campus of CMS College of Engineering and Technology is situated at Thirumalayampalayam, off Velanthavalam on Coimbatore-Palakkad National Highway; The CMS-CET has a total land area of about 27 acres.
The healthy practices of the institution bring about an attitudinal change in a sense of neighbourhood management. It gives much exposure to the immediate environment instilling a sense of responsibility and community belongingness, which in turn empowers them to make a positive contribution to the society. Now the college is one of the best engineering college in coimbatore – Tamil Nadu – India.

From The Principal's Desk
DR. N. SUDHA, Principal of CMS College of Engineering and Technology, is a vibrant and renowned professional in the field of education. She has been involved in education and research for over two decades. She is heading this esteemed Institution since 2017. A meticulous teacher, unified with intelligence and compassion, Prof.Dr.N.SUDHA has an incredible potential and compassionate to the students along with the teaching community. Under her excellent guidance, the college achieved substantial recognition, including an “A” grade from NAAC and being granted autonomous status by the UGC for 10 years.
She received her Doctoral Degree in Information and Communication Engineering , from Anna University, Chennai and Maters in Computer Science and Engineering. She published several research articles in national and international journals. She is a recipient of “Smiling Public Service” award from CRPF.
“Challenge Meets Success” is a guiding mantra of the college, that highlights its boundless responsibility towards Education. In citing the quote, “I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things” we value individual differences and encourage everyone to be their best self and to create a space, where everyone feels valued and empowered. This is an Institution to do fabulous things to shape next generation of Engineers and Technocrats with commitments.
