Department of Computer Applications
The Department of Computer Applications offers BCA,B.Sc (Digital and Cyber Forensic science) ,M.C.A programme. A band of dedicated and resourceful teachers prepare the students to fit into the modern IT environment. The programmes offered by the Department provide solid technical background and real time experience on tools to handle the most demanding aspects of information systems. Excellent infrastructure Facilities available in the department and the quality IT education offered have been well appreciated by researchers and academicians.
Courses
BCA. (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
Eligibility: A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
BCA. (Bachelor of Computer Applications with Cloud Computing, Digital Marketing, and Data science)
Eligibility: A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
MCA. (Master of Computer Applications)
Eligibility: A Pass in any degree with Mathematics at +2 levels or any degree with at least one paper in Mathematics or Statistics at degree level.
BSc. (Digital and Cyber Forensics)
Eligibility: A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
BCA & B.Sc(Digital and Cyber Forensic science)
Extra Departmental Course
The student should select one Extra Disciplinary Course offered by other departments and are eligible to get 2 extra credits. This paper is offered as taught programme from the 2014 batch onwards.
Modular Course
The student must undergo compulsorily a Certificate Course offered by the department and the student is eligible to get 2 extra credits for each module. This diploma course consists of module 1 and 2. Module 1 consists of 2 papers and Module 2 consists of 3 papers. Total credits of the modular course are 10. After the successful completion of the Module I and II, students are eligible to get a Certificate in Employability Skills Development (Certificate in ESD)
MCA
Extra Disciplinary Course
The student has to compulsorily select one Extra Disciplinary Course offered by other departments and is eligible to get 4 extra credits. This paper is offered as taught programme from 2015 batch onwards.
Modular Course
The student must undergo compulsorily a PG Diploma course offered by the department and the student is eligible to get 2 extra credits for each paper. This PG Certificate course consists of module 1, 2 and 3. Module 1 consists of 2 papers and Module 2 consists of 3 papers and Module 3 consists of 3 papers. Total credits of the modular course are 16. After the successful completion of the Module I , II and III, the students are eligible to get a “PG Certificate in Employability Skills Development”
