data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ragging is strictly banned in the college premises. If anybody is found indulging in such like activities, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters, irrespective of the extent. Ragging is banned by Supreme Court of India. Based on the honorable Supreme Court directions, AICTE has issued strict regulations and guidelines. All students are expected to adhere to the same. Defaulters will be dealt severely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;margin-top:-20px;\">Ragging of fresh students in academic institutions by senior students is rampant in Indian colleges. Ragging has taken many shapes including physical violence, sexual abuse and humiliation and milder from pressurizing to do term papers, etc. Several steps taken by the authorities so far have not improved matters. Even deaths due to ragging continue to be reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;margin-top:-20px;\">Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0A misconduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written by an ct which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Indulging in rowdy or indiscipline activities by any student or students which causes or likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li>Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participants in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student.<\/li>\n \t<li>Any act or physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person<\/li>\n \t<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Any act that affects the mental health and self \u2013 confidence of a fresher or any student.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness of a fresher or any other student<\/li><li>To prohibit students from indulging in rowdy or indiscipline activities.<\/li><li>To stop conduct of any activity likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or raise fear or apprehension thereof in the mind of any fresher or any other student or asking any student to do any such act which such student will not in the ordinary course do so and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame.<\/li><li>To stop torment or embarrassment which may adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student, with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure.<\/li><li>To stop showing off power, authority, or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student, and thereby, to eliminate ragging in all its forms from universities, deemed universities and other higher educational institutions in the country by prohibiting it under these regulations, preventing its occurrence and punishing those who indulge in ragging as provided for in these regulations and the appropriate law in force.<\/li><li>The anti ragging squad will consist of following members who are expected to keep a close watch around the entire campus particularly sensitive places from ragging point of view. All the members of squad will keep moving around the campus in order to avoid any ragging activity. They are all expected to make a general round of the campus with alert eyes to discourage raggers and to avoid any such happening.<\/li><\/ul><p>The following punishments will be enacted on those found guilty of ragging:<\/p><ul><li>Suspension \/ Expulsion from the institution and Hostel<\/li><li>Withholding scholarships and other benefits<\/li><li>Debarring from appearing examinations<\/li><li>Cancellation of admission<\/li><li>No admission in any other institutions<\/li><li>FIR lodged at police station for further legal action<\/li><li>One to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and fine<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section
